Aisha Mason, M.Ed.
Aisha Mason has been in education for nearly a decade. Her career began as an elementary teacher with Fort Worth ISD. During her time there, she served as team lead and master teacher. Under the reconstitution of five leadership schools, Aisha was selected to serve as one of the English Language Arts teachers. Within a year, all campuses met standards and made gains in reading and math. In FWISD, Mason was recognized for her significant impact on increasing student achievement, modeling best instructional practices, fostering opportunities for a positive school culture, and creating a culturally relevant classroom. For the last five years, she has served as Assistant Principal at Coleman Junior High School in Waxahachie. During her time at Coleman, she collaborated with stakeholders to implement initiatives and systems that contributed to the overall academic growth of the campus. Aisha has also served on various district committees and received additional certifications, including the National Certificate for STEM Teaching (NISTE).
Aisha Mason graduated from Baylor University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies. She holds a Master of Education from Texas Woman’s University and a Principal’s Certification from Lamar University. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Aisha is married to Gary Mason Jr. who also serves in WISD. They are both proud Baylor Bears. Mrs. Mason said, "I am excited to contribute to the vision of Waxahachie ISD in the capacity of campus principal. In this role, I look forward to forming positive, trusting relationships with the students, staff and families to ensure academic achievement and growth for all."

Assistant Principal

Aimee Friesenhahn, M.Ed.
With nearly two decades of experience in education, Aimee Friesenhahn has dedicated her career to nurturing both students and the school community. She has taught kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and Reading Recovery, served as an Instructional Media Specialist, and, for the past six years, has held the role of Assistant Principal.
Aimee is a proud graduate of Texas State University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She furthered her expertise at The University of Texas at Arlington, earning a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Literacy and completing the Principal Certification Program.
Originally from the Austin area, Aimee now calls Ellis County home. Together with her husband, Ryan, they stay active and engaged, raising their two sons.
Aimee’s commitment centers on fostering strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the broader community, all while supporting the growth and success of every student.
